Teaching & Training

I teach qualitative research methods from basic to advanced levels, suitable for lay people/service users, professionals, clinicians, academics, and students (doctoral, postgraduate, undergraduate).

I use a variety of teaching methods as appropriate, including: lectures, discussion, practical exercises (e.g. coding, interviewing), workshops, group work, paired exercises, demonstrations, one-to-one.

“Useful to do exercises in coding to have much better understanding.”

“Really helpful to have lots of participation.”

“Great to have an enthusiastic and knowledgeable speaker.”

“I am writing to thank you for all your hard work in providing dissertation supervision […] We are very grateful for all the time and effort you have put into [trainee]’s project, as well as for your enthusiasm and general support in helping [trainee] to complete it successfully.”
