I offer a variety of different courses for researchers at a range of levels. Courses are taught via a combination of lectures, demonstrations and active/interactive involvement including discussion, practical exercises (e.g. coding, interviewing), workshops, group work, and paired exercises.
“Useful and engaging lecture. Excellent use of exercises to apply theory.”
I aim to make sessions relatively relaxed and informal: I encourage questions, challenges, the sharing of experiences (good and bad) and humour!
“Thanks, great fun.”
Where possible, I make sessions as relevant as possible to the audience, using ‘real-life’ examples from research proposals and ethics committee forms, video / audio / written data excerpts, and anecdotes.
“Really practical, which is really helpful for thinking about how it would work in practice.”
